Recommendation on ATI 9600
That is, the ATI software, which is supposed to mute the audio going to the sound card fails to do it. At least that's what it seems like. (b) Once I press Play, video resumes immediately from the live feed, instead of from the point in which I pressed Pause. I think that it's not what's supposed to happen.

I would be amazed if an AIW 9600 didn't have the input and output capabilities. But it will almost certainly require the ATI specific cable, which AFAIK is only made by ATI. I eventually gave up after owning and trying 3 ATI All In Wonder cards and reading the threads of others with similar experiences. Some people have had success with them, but I have not. My eventual solution was to go to better capture devices which totally eliminated the problems cited above.
